The band then started working with Steve Leber (New York) and David Krebs (New York). They then signed a recording deal in 1972 and debuted their eponymous debut album in 1973. It was followed by Get Your Wings, Toys in the Attic, Rocks and Draw the Line, which catapulted Aerosmith to fame internationally and recognition. The albums were awash with legendary hits like "Dream on", "Walk This Way" and "Sweet Emotion". Aerosmith's first five albums went multi-platinum. Toys in the Attic and Rocks were also multi-platinum. As the decade went by, however, the band's chaotic schedule of traveling, recording, and living together began to wear them down. Because of their famed use of heroin and stimulants, Tyler and Perry were called the Toxic Twins. Aerosmith Behind the Music includes several videos that illustrate their relationship. Tyler was apparently more dedicated to Aerosmith and appeared to dislike Perry's aloof attitude. Perry, however, was jealous of Tyler's choice for females in her life. The dynamic of tension between Tyler, Perry, and their once-friendly girlfriends was apparently a leading factor in the gradual decline of Aerosmith around 1980.
